ENTERTAINING IN HOTELS
The liahit of repairing to hotels and restaurants tit Christmas is undoubtedly becoming more general hero, writes a London correspondent in a message received in Melbourne by the air mail.
Family reunions may he . as much the order of the day as over, but these often enough take place, not in the “old home,” but in an hotel, on the south coast or elsewhere, which • makes special arrangements for Christmas. This tendency -seems lo have been recognised by tluvLondon County Council, which, for the first time, lias agreed to permit dancing on Christmas Day on those premises “licensed for music and dancing” which come under its control.
