Professor W. F. S. Turner, professor of glass technology at the University of Sheffield, is a passenger to New Zealand by the Remuera, due at Wellington from London this month.
Lieutenant. Commander V. F. Boyle, formerly of 11.M.5. Diomede, and Mrs. Boyle are passengers to New Zealand bv the Remuera, which is due at Wellington from London on January 19 Lieutenant J. iOarmalt Jones, who has been appointed to the New ‘Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, will arrive, by the Remuera on January 19. Sir John Randles, a prominent English ironmaster and former member of the House of Commons, and Lady Randles, will arrive at- Wellington from London by the Remuera this month. The touring manager uf the Automobile Association, Auckland, Mr. R. FClnunptaloup, expects to pay his pci tnclicnl visit to the Gisborne district, in about a fortnight. If possible, Mr. Ohauiptalrmp intends to inspect the Coast scenic route on bis way to Gisborne. Guests at. the Tawhiti Hotel, Waipiro Bay, for the annual tennis tournament, completed during the week-end, included Misses M. Bell, and Palmer, Hawke’s Bay; Misses E. Hegarty, W. Barm-Graham, and M.
