A collision between a train bound from Paeroa to Frtuikton and a motor-lorry driven by Wong How, a Chinese market gardener, of Thames, occurred at the Cudman road level-crossing, about throe miles from Paeroa. The lorry was struck by tbo front of the engine and was smashed to pieces.
