The Ivaimai (Captain A. F. Inman) is expected, to load lor Napier and Gisborne, leaving Dunedin on Tuesday next, working Oama.ru and Timaru on Wednesday, Lyttelton on Thursday, thence Wellington. The steamer is. due here about Wednesday, January 16, to discharge. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Cambridge (Captain IL, Williams) is expected to arrive at Gisborne lrom Auckland on Monday morning to load frozen meat, wool aim general cargo for United Kingdom ports. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rangitata (Captain J. L. B. Hunter) js expected to leave Napier on Wednesday next for Tokomaru Bay to load frozen meat, and wool for London. The Aorangi, which left Vancouver on Wednesday, leaves Honolulu next Wednesday for Suva, Auckland, and Sydney. The Niagara left Sydney on Thursday and leaves Auckland on Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver.

The Maunganui, from San Francisco, Papeete, and Rarotonga, arrives at Wellington on Monday and sails on Tuesday for Sydney. "i'he Makura, from Sydney, Wellingr ton, Rarotonga, and Papeete, arrives at San Francisco on January 11. The C. and D. Line motor-vessel Port Chalmers was dispatched at 10.20 p.m. yesterday for Napier, New. Plymouth and Wellington to complete her Homeward loading. At this port she loaded 3681 carcases of mutton, 17,182 carcases of' lamb, 718 carcases of pork, 412 quarters of beef, 568 packages of sundries, 422 bales of wool, and 4750 boxes of butter. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel from Wellington about January 19 for London, via. Cape Horn and Dakar.

The Pukeko arrived this morning from Auckland, via Coast bays. On completion of discharge and loading here this afternoon she proceeds to Napier.

The. Awahou arrived this morning from Wellington, and Napier. The vessel is expected to clear Gisborne. this afternoon for Lyttelton in order to load for Waikokopu, Gisborne and the Coast.

The Paknra is due at Hicks Bay tomorrow to load sheep for Tauranga. The Margaret W; from Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay and Tolaga Bay, arrived in port this morning. The vessel departs this evening for Auckland to load as usual for tiro Coast and Gisborne, leaving there again on Tuesday night. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's motor ship Karamea, which is at present at Wellington, proceeds (6 Picton on January 13 and later comes on to Gisborne. She is duo here on January 17 and will load meat, butter and general cargo lor London. After working- at,Gisborne the liner is to load cargo at Waikokopu and Napier. On January 27 the Karamea sails from Napier for Home, via Panama.

IMPERIAL STAR The Gisborne office of the Blue Star Line (N.Z.), Limited, has received advice from New Zealand head office that the new motor vessel Imperial Star, built for the. company in .Garland and Wolff's yards at Belfast, rah her trials oil" Belfast on. December 28, and' they proved eminently satisfactory." The Imperial Star maintained an average speed of 18.6 knots in both directions over the trial course, this performance making her the fastest cargo liner in the Australian and New Zealand trade, the company claims. The Imperial Star was to leave Belfast on Thursday, on her maiden voyage to Now Zealand.
