A further fall in earnings was experienced last year by the New Zealand and Bivcr Plate Laud Mortgage Company, Limited. According to cabled advice received toy the Auckland attorneys, the net profit for the year ended October 31 was £1(1,093, compared with £28,620 in the previous year. At the annual meeting, which will be held in London on January 5, the directors will recommend payment of a dividend of 3 per cent, (against 5 per cent, in the previous year). The dividend, which is payable less income fax at 4s Gd in the £1 absorbs £21,000, and £37,344 is carried forward, against £42,251 brought into the accounts. The sun: of £50,000 has been transferred from reserves to exchange provision account.

Kates on this light class of ewe unit ton showed an improvement up.on those ruling at the last sale, of M'.il. Lamb and wether values were fully firm.
