WASHINGTON TREATY JAPANESE DECISION TOKIO, Dec. 19. The Privy Council has approved the renunciation of the Washington Treaty. There nave been great rejoicings among high naval authorities, who immediately radioed joyfully all commanders of squadrons, naval 'bases and high naval authorities abroad, including Admiral Yamomoto, while Mr. Hirota informed Mr. Matsudaira and other Ambassadors.

Formal notification to Washington is expected about December 27. The foreign spokesman said that Japan was agreeable to a suspension of the London conversations, but desires the date of resumption to be fixed.
