S.S. CORNWALL RETURNS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day.' The Federal steamer Cornwall, which left Auckland at 7 o’clock this morning, turned back w-liyn she had passed Tiritiri Island owing to engine trouble and anchored in the stream at 11 o’clock. fthe later berthed at the wharf and the Harbor Board diver will make an examination. Coming up the harbor the Cornwall signalled that she could not manoeuvre. She has twin screws, but .returned to port, on one -propeller. The Cornwall has a considerable quantity of cargo still to discharge at the main southern ports.
