NAVAL PROBLEMS
TRIPARTITE DISCUSSIONS INFORM A L SCRUTINY' (British Official Wireless.) Roe. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 4. The stage lias now been reached in the naval conversations at which the survey of the proposals advanced orally by Japan has been completed by both the British and the United States delegations in consultation with the Japanese representatives and with each other, and no arrangements have yet been made for further formal discussions between the three interested parties. Meanwhile, however, close contacts are being maintained between raemmers of the delegations, and an informal scrutiny of the problems is being continued. The Sunday Times’ diplomatic correspondent says that although the naval conversations have not proceeded without difficulties, substantial progress has been made. Technical points are still engaging attention.
