Ghost Flowers

ARTIFICIAL (lower decorations that are now being planned by a woman expert for London winter parties have no resemblance at all to real (lowers. A deliberate attempt, is being made to cieate new blossoms in strange shapes and new colors for modern interiors.

Groups of moon flowers and ghost flowers, two now “blooms” from the fantastic modern garden, arc being arranged in all-white groups. Other flower vases are being tilled with new flowers in all shades -of green from can do Nil to hunter's green.

For more conventional drawingrooms there will be copies of carnations, roses and other sweet-smelling flowers scented d'nring their manufacture so that their perfume remains for two months.

A novelty for dining-table decoration is made on the unit-furniture principle, and consists of long strips of British glass, with, a narrow trough in.the centre in which chrysanthemums, dahlias, orchids and asters are laid flat in the mariner of a shoulder spray. For a long table three or four of these glass strips may be used end to end or diagonally across.
