STILL UNAVAILING

SEARCH FOR MAORI THE RANGITOTO TRAGEDY (Per Press Association.) TE KUITI, this day. Though a large force of police, settlers and bushmen is scouring the country near the scene of the Rangitoto tragedy, there is still no trace of tho missing Maori. Heavy rain of 15 hours’ duration on Sunday night will make the task of the searchers more difficult. The area of search is being widened and a careful watch kept on all roads leading to the scene of tho tragedy, especially that leading to Otevvn, where the girl with whom the Maori was infatuated lived.

The debris left bv the tire has been thoroughly, searched for fresh evidence.
