'Plie conversations which recently have taken place in Berlin between representatives of the Governments of the United Kingdom and Germany on the question of outstanding! commercial debts and the financing of future trade between the two countries, were considered by the Cabinet on the report of Mr. Walter Runciman. Is is stated that the Ministers are Anxious that the question of future trade relations between Britain and Germany should bo put on a satisfactory basis at the earliest possible moment, and the newspapers understand that Sir Frederick Leith Ross will return to Berlin within the next few days with broad general instructions as to Ihe lines on which the convei sations should proceed. Purely provisional arrangements for the conduct of trade pending the negoiation of a satisfactory agreement were reached last month, in view of the introduction of the new German exchange regulations, and in order to avoid a disturbance of trade during the negotiations.
