Tho Prime Minister, electioneering in the country, declared at -Cowra that that if the Federal Parliament desired he would have no hesitation in arranging for a competent committee of investigation into the monetary system in Australia. lie had no doubt that such an inquiry would demonstrati 1 what wonderful work had been achieved during the depression period by the Commonwealth Bank in conjunction with the trading banks.
