In the Forest Hills tennis tourhament, Allison beat Stocfen to-day, B—6, 4—6, 11—9, 6—B, 6—2; Kirby (South Africa) created an upset by defeating Shields, tilt' toji ranker and top seeded player, in the quarter-final, 4 —6, 6—4, 6—4. fc—3. Perry heat Cliff Sutter (New Orleans), 6—3, 6—o, 6-2, and will meet Kirby in the semi-finals.
