5500 DEAD IN MONTH
CHOLERA IN INDIA PEOPLE TERROR-STRICKEN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn ) (Received August 4, 11 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Aug. 3. Cholera is taking a great toll of life throughout India, particularly in the Central Provinces, where 1500 died lastweek, making 5500 in the past month. Inoculation has been carried out wherever possible. The disease is carried by people who are fleeing terror stricken from one village to another.
