AIR SERVICE

INAUGURATION BY DUKE SYDNEY, July 17. .Arrangements have been approved by the Duke of Gloucester, it is understood, whereby the first service of the Australia to London air mail will be inaugurated by him at Brisbane on Monday, December 10. The air mail leaving Brisbane on that date will carry Christmas letters for Great Britain. Apart from formal calls on board the warship on the eve of his departure, the inauguration of the air mail service, will be the last official function in Australia in which the Duke of Gloucester will take part. The ceremony will take place early on the Mdnday morning, December 10, and at noon, or a little later, the Duke of Gloucester will probably board his ship for New Zealand.
