NO ACTION INTENDED REPLY TO QUESTION (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Proposals .for a reduction in the strength of the House of Representatives to half the present number, a Legislative Council of 20 elected members, and the setting up of an economic council in an advisory capacity to the Government, as advanced by Mr. A. J. Stallworthy (Ind., Eden) met with a brief reply from the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W T . Forbes, who merely .announced that it was not the intention of the Government to introduce legislation this session on these lines.
