Plans by the Plant Research Station of the Deparment of Agriculture at Palmerston North for the intensification of the campaign against the white butterfly during the coming summer season have been made, based on the anticipation of placing an army of. a million parasites, the natural enemy of the pest, in the field. The work is, under ttye> control of Mr. J. Muggeridge, Government entomologist at the station, who has collected 70, COO white butterfly chrysalids, mainly from the Bulls and Whakorongo 'districts. ' ■
