' This morning’s applications were dealt with in the following order:— G. Brocklebank (Mr. Chrisp), application for area license for the Cook, Waikohu, Uawa, Waiapu, and Wairoa counties, for - the main highway to Napier and Hastings and an area within a radius?of 10 miles of Hastings, and for the northern highway to Opofiki, WJiakatane, and Rotorua. —The application was granted on the same terms as formerly, t! Jones (Mr. Chrisp), application ’for area license for the Waimata riding and for an area within a radius of 10 miles of the Gisborne Post Office. — The application was granted on the same terms as formerly, and the applicant was /granted the right to carry mails.

L J. R. Donaldson (Mr. M. R. Maude), application for license for an area within, a 10-mile radius of Motu, and. for the main highway Matawai to Opotiki, via Waioeka.—Tlie application was granted OB the same terms as before.

The application was granted as formerly, and the amendment was approved.
