NORFOLK ISLANDERS AFFECTED BY SLUMP SYDNEY, May. 14. Mr. W. 11. Edgar, M.L.C., of Melbourne, returned from a holiday to Norfolk Island to-day. He said Norfolk Inlanders were passing through an unhappy period owing to the low prices for bananas and beans, the cutting off of the New Zealand shipping services, and decreased tourist traffic. The roads are in a shocking condition, and require expert reconditioning. Producers are handicapped by lack of shed accommodation for the storage of produce for export.
