Lauri Aatos -Gronlund, the 23-year-old apprentice on the Finnish bnrquo Favell, who -was transhipped in midocean from the barque to the liner Monowai during the latter’s tri'p from Sydney to Wellington, and who on arrival there was taken to hospital, was operated on for appendicitis yesterday. His condition is reported to be satisfactory.
