Pukeko, m.v., 10.20 p.m., 912 tons, S. ,Jones, for Napier and Auckland. Friday, March 30. Kini, s.s., 5.20 a.m., 1388 tons, F. W. Collins, for Napier. The Waiinea completed the discharge of her Auckland cargo here on Thursday and after loading, sailed for Napier, from which port she is to be dispatched to-day for Auckland, in order to load at that port on Tuesday next for Gisborne and Napier. Tho Poolta, with southern produce, arrived from Napier yesterday. She is expected to complete discharge this afternoon and sail for Dunedin, via Lyttelton. The Kini completes! the discharge o! her Westport and Grey mouth coal cargo here on Thursday ami sailed on Friday for Napier. The Aorangi, from Vancouver, leaves Honolulu on April 4 for Auckland and Sydney. The Niagara, from Sydney, arrives at Auckland on Monday next, and leaves on Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver.
The Maunganui. from San Francisco, Papeete and Rarotonga, arrives at Wellington on Monday next and sails on Tuesday for Sydney. The Makura, from. Sydney. Wellington, Rarotonga, and Papeete, arrives at San Francisco on April 6. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Norfolk is to load frozen meat, butter, wool, and general cargo for London at Gisborne about April 11. The liner Rangitane, of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s licet, is expected to finish loading frozen meat, wool and general cargo at Tokomaru Pay lor London to-morrow, when she will sail for Auckland. fhe Pukeko sailed on Thursday night for Napier, thence Auckland, to load on Wednesday for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The Awahou, from Wellington and Napier, arrived here early yesterday morning, and discharged and loaded today. She was expected to sail early this afternoon lor Wellington, where she will load on Wednesday for Napier and Gisborne. 'The Tiroa, replacing the Margaret W. while the latter vessel is undergoing her annual overhaul, loads at Auckland on Wednesday for Coast bays and Gisborne. CEUISES TO DOMINION SIX FROM AUSTRALIA Pleasure cruises to New Zealand from Australia by the most modern vessels visiting the Commonwealth will be the outstanding feature of next summer’s cruising in this part of the world. Arrangements have already been made by the P. and O. and Orient Linos, providing for six cruises to New Zealand next summer. Both companies have been carrying out extensive cruises in Australian waters, and to the Pacific Islands both this and last summer, hut have not so far visited New Zealand. In their programme for next summer, however, the following New Zealand cruises have boon provided for: —Strathaird, leaving Brisbane on November 21; Strathnaver, leaving Brisbane on December lf>; Oronsay, leaving Brisbane on December 23; Otranto, leaving Brisbane on January 3, 1935; Strathaird, leaving Brisbane on March 13; and Oronsay, leaving Brisbane on April 34. The probable itinerary will lie from Brisbane to Auckland anil Wellington and back to Sydney, thus giving passengers an opportunity of seeing the scenic beauties of the North Island by travelling overland from Auckland to Wellington.
