PERFECT WEATHER 1 MANY PLANES EXPECTED (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, .this day. Perfect weather prevails for the North Island air pageant at Hastings aerodrome to-day. * , The Southern Cross arrived at the Hastings aerodrome for the pageant at 6.45 o’clock last evening, having taken an hour and three-quarters for the flight from Martinborough. The plane carried 13 passengers., Other planes also arrived yesterday. It is expected that there will be a large number of machines preseht this afternoon. The new aerodrome is in beautiful condition.,, For the first time in. New Zealand there will be a display of night flying by illuminated machines. This evening the programme includes aerobatics, wing walking, a parachute drop by Mr. ‘‘Scotty” Fraser, a vefy light display of block air battle's, and passenger flights in the Southern Gross.
