FLOCK RAM PRICES' SOUTHLAND SALE (Pet Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this d&p .; The flock sale of the Southland A. and I’., Association’s Ram Fair was held yefelerday, and the entry was so large that the sale was not completed till dijsk, As far'as'the principal breeds of ltom.ney Marsh and Southdowns were coflcerned, prices throughout,the sale showed considerable appreciation. In the case of Romney Marsh, breed the rise, in general, was fully £0 per cent, compared with last year's sale, while Southdowns showed a smaller in crease. The top pi-ice in the Roinney Marsh section was lligris. For medium quality rams prices ranged from to signs., while inferior sheep were difficult to dispose of at from 2 to 3Jgns. The entry of Southdowns was the lr.rgest ever offered at a local fair, breeders from Canterbury southwards being represented. The top price of 15Jgns. was secured for a single emry trom Mr. H. J. Andrew,.Maheno. Really good quality rams realised 8 tp lQgns.. good quality from to Tjgns., and fair from 4i to sgns., with inferior down to 2‘igns
