LIGHT AEROPLANE CLUBS SUPPORT WANTED IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, March. 20. During the discussion of the air estimates in the House of Commons the subject of civil aviation was raised, and a request was made for greater financial support from the Government for light aeroplane clubs. Sir Philip Sassoon said he sympathised with the movement and the Air Ministry was anxious to see civil aviation further developed. The "Air Ministry was sufficiently satisfied with the progress of the light aeroplane .movement and had decided on its action.
