APPOINTMENT OF STAF'F 3 Many hundreds ol applications for ap-; pointment to the staff of the Reserve* Rank of New Zealand have been received „ bv the Government. The bank is to; open on August T and the choice of staff is shortly, to bo made by the newly-nn-iyed bank governor. Mr. Leslie; Lefciiux. Offices have also to be chosen. - The most important post to be filled is that* of deputy-governor. The. Government lias already given consideration to this appointment, which is expected to . be finalised very soon. Tlie appointment of the directorate of the bank is expected to be completed by the end of April. Since his arrival in Wellington on Saturday. Mr. Lefeaux has conferred with * the Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon.» •I. G. Coates, and Treasury, and he has also had the opportunity of meeting a; number of loading business men.
