ONE PARTY RESCUED OTHERS STILL ': MAROONED (Received March 1, 11 a.m.) RIGA, Feb. 28. Reports state that Soviet steamers rescued 150 . fishermen who w'ere marooned on the icff-Sjelds in the Caspian. The other patty is still drifting. - The rescue of the.'Cheliuskin castaways is proving more difficult than had been anticipated. Aeroplanes have not succeeded in even sighting them, and some machines were damaged. Owing to bad weather, dog teams are unable to negotiate the rough ice separating the castaways’ encampment from the mainland. Further aeroplanes are being dispatched from Vladivostok.
