ESCAPE FROM DROWNING
AUSTRALIAN POLITICIAN FAMILY’S EXPERIENCE SYDNEY, Feb. 25. Dr. Earle Page and members nf his family narrowly escaped drowning in the flooded Upper Clarence on Saturday. They' were proceeding to a homestead 40 miles up the river by car and had to cross the river in a boat, which was struck by a submerged tree, throwing the occupants into the water. The party clung) to the boat, which was washed against another tree, where the boat was bailed out and eventually all reached shore safelv.
