RAILWAY FINANCES INCREASE IN REVENUE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Better business is shown’ by"the financial, results of the railway operations up to February 3, as announced by "Mr. ,H. H. Sterling, chairman of the Railways Board. For the four-weekly period which ended on that date, the revenue Increased by £37,862, while expenditure increased ‘by only £17,316, leaving an increase in the net revenue for the four-weekly period of £20,546, Compared with the corresponding period of last year. . For the .portion of the financial year from April 1, 1933, to February 3, 1934, the revenue showed an Increase of £202,108, and the expenditure a decrease of £21,766, leaving an increase in thO net revenue of £223,869 for that portion of the financial year, compared with the ..corresponding portion of the previous financial year.
