FALL FROM WHARF

MAN FATALLY INJURED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The death of Arthur John Willetts, aged 67 years, a foreman shipwright, occurred in the Auckland Hospital on Saturday evening. The deceased was well known on the Auckland waterfront. He narrowly escaped being' drowned last Thursday, when he slipped while working on the vessel Bardona at the Kauri Timber Company’s wharf, Freeman’s Bay, and ffll into; the harbor between the vessel and the wharf. In falling, he struck his head against the wharf and was rendered unconscious. Willetts was eventually pulled out of the water with the aid of a rope. When taken to hospital he was in a serious condition, as he was suffering from severe head injuries ana concussion.
