CANVASSER’S OFFENCES (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. 'Talbot Leslie Norford Johnston, a canvasser, was charged with, at Invercargill, receiving £SO on terms requiring him to account for same to Flax Growers’ Pulp and Cellulose Products, Limited, and fraudulently omitting to do so. He was similarly charged in respect to £25. The police stated that the accused was employed selling bonds, and Hurling three months had received, apart ; from the amounts mentioned, £2BO from clients in the Invercargill district, which he also failed to account, for. He had been Jiving beyond his means. Nothing had been recovered. The accused pleaded guilty and was remanded till Friday.
