RIOTING IN VIENNA
NAZI DEMONSTRATION RELEASE OF LEADER VIENNA, Jan. 3. Following the unexpected release of the Austrian Nazi leader, Alfred Frauenfeld, from prison, where he lias been awaiting trial on a charge of high treason, hundreds of Nazis demonstrated at his home, sang forbidden songs, and shouted, “Hail, Hitler!"
Rioting ensued. Mounted police used their batons mercilessly and many rioters were sent to hospital or were arrested.
