EXTENSION REFUSED
CHACO ARMISTICE
MONTEVIDEO, Dec. 28. Paraguay formally refused on Ihursday to extend the truce with Bolivia m the Gran Chaco warfare. The armistice ends at midnight on bn Bolivia already has acceded to an extension of the armistice to Januaiy 1 . Paraguay’s failure to approve was attributed to official niisuiwerstanding.
