EARL CADOGAN
SETTLED LANDS OF £2,000,000

Earl Ladogan, who died on October 4. aged 64, left settled land valued at £2,000,000, “so far as at present can be ascertained.” He made a will, but did not name any executor or dispose of any estate, and letters of administration have been granted to Sir Samuel Edward Scott, of Mount street, W., and Coutts and Company, 440, Strand, W.C., as trustees of settled land. On more than one occasion Lord Cadogan’s affairs have been investigated in the Bankruptcy Court.
In May, 1910. when he was Viscount Chelsea, lie was made bankrupt, but his father paid his debts and the bankruptcy was annulled. He again failed in 1911 when his liabilities were put at £53,914. In 1926 a receiving order was made against him, and proofs of debt to the amount of £47,918 were giVcn. £17,000 in connection with moneylenders. .
