Two Harvard to-day presented the American Association of Scienco with what is claimed to be the “first statistical study of war.” Over 900 wars, from 500 B.C. to. 1925, aro charted by tho use of complicated statistics recording the number of nations and men involved in wars at various times in history, their lengths, casualties, etc. The conclusion drawn by the professors is that ‘‘war is inevitable.”
