OBITUARY
MR. HENRY W. FOWLER
(Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received December 29, 3 p.m.) * LONDON, Dec. 28. The death has occurred of Mr. Henry Watson Fowler, the essayist and lexicographer, aged 75 years. The late Mr. Fowler was educated at -V Rugby and Oxford, and subsequently 'waS an assistant master at Seabergh. Sit#e 1809 he had been engaged in writing* translations, essays, and dictionaries, being a., notable contributor to the new Oxford Dictionary. MR. JOHN B. WEEDON (Per Press Association.) WAIHI, this day. The death is reported of Mr John Benjamin Wcedon, licensee of the Ebb Roy Hotel, aged 81 years. Mr iWieedon was a well-known cricketer and played with and against Dr. Grace.
