HOME DESTROYED
ORIGIN A MYSTERY
(Per Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day
iFire destroyed the house of Mr T. Caldwell, at Blackball, this morning. Mrs Caldwell, the only occupant, was arbnsed by smoke and escaped in her night attire. Mr Caldwell was on holiday in Christchurch. The house, a modern one, was destroyed, and no contents were saved. A Considerable sum of money also was losfti The- origin of the lire is a mystery. The insurances on the house was £l5O, and on the furniture £125. both in the Guardian office.
