OBITUARY
A well-known Cambridge resident passed away suddenly in the person of Mr Thomas McLarnon, aged GG. Deceased was born at Papatoctoo and farmed there for many years.
The death has occurred, after a lengthy illness, of Mr. George Parker Sise, a highly respected member of the business community of Dunedin. Deceased took a keen interest in all spoils, his principal enthusiasm iu his younger days being motoring, of which he was one of the pioneers in Otago, having been, as far back as 1901, the. owner of the second motor ear to appear in Dunedin, and the first motorist to accomplish the journey from Dunedin to Christchurch by car. The death has occurred of a very old resident of Auckland, Mrs. Ann Jane Ahier, who died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Stephens, Hillsborough. Mrs. Ahier was in her first year. A former resident of Auckland, Mr. Charles 0. Reade, who did much to encourage the study and application of town-planning principles in New Zealand, lias died in Johannesburg. Mr. Reade, who was a grandson of Charles Reade, the novelist, received his early training as a journalist in New Zealand, and after visiting England was engaged in journalism in Auckland for marry years.
