IL Godfrey, formerly r| l Christchurch, has been appointed arch deacon of Southern Melanesia. For many years Mr. Godfrey bar, been in charge of the training college for native ordinal] ts and teachers at Lolowai, New Hebrides. Mr. Phil Williams, son of Canon Williams, will leave Auckland early this month for Melanesia, and will assist at the boys’ school at Vureas, Now Hebrides. Mr. Williams was educated at Christ’s College, and for the last five years has been studying for holy orders. Mr. C. S', LL.IL, of the stall - of St. George’s School.
