CROP REDUCTION
ANOTHER U.S. SCHEME (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Dec. 7. 2 p.in.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 6. Dir. IV. Wallace to-day approved a contract to be offered to farmers for participating in the £7O,COO,CtX) maize and hog reduction adjustment plan, which requires producers to reduce maize acreage by not less than 20 per cent, below the average acreage planted in 1932 and 1933. Tho producer also agrees to reduce in 1934 the number of litters farrowed and the number of hogs produced for the, market by 25 per cent, below the annual average of 1931 to 1933.
