DAIRY CONTROL

QUESTION IN HOUSE LEGISLATION SOUGHT (Parliamentary importer.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Dairy Board’s decision to restrict f.o.b. purchases was the subject of an urgent question to the Minister of Agriculture by Mr. P. A. do la Perrcllc, who asked in the House to-day that in view of the representations made to the Prime Minister and Minister of Industries and Commerce by representatives of dairy factory companies protesting against the Control Board’s proposal, and its decision to do so, will the Government, if it does not posses statutory authority, legislate this session providing that no such policy shall be operative unless approved by a vote of dairy factorydirectors or shareholders? Tho Minister replied that arrangements would be made to discuss the point raised with the Dairy Board.
