ROMANTIC STORY
NORWEGIAN SHIPOWNER LOST BROTHER FOUND MELBOURNE, Nov. 15. A romantic story lies behind the arrival of the Norwegian tanker Skotaas in Alelbourne last week. When Air. Ivor Bergger, the millionaire owner of the line, received a charter ior the. tanker to visit Alelbourne, he instructed the master to make inquiries with the object of ascertaining if possible the whereabouts of his 70-year-ohl brother, who had been last heard of in .Melbourne, 25 years ago. The brother had left Norway as a young man of about 29 years of age. It seemed to be an almost hopeless quest, but the captain applied himself to the task with such well-directed diligence that the seemingly hopeless search ended in victory after much scouring ot the suburbs of Melbourne involving an expenditure of about .€5 in taxi tab fares, which, of course, was extremely cheap acquittance of such a task. My the help of postal authorities and a letter 25 years old, the missing man was located living on a pensioner’s income at Surrey Hills.
As the son of the ship owner was a member of the ship’s company lie was able to greet his long-lost uncle, and convey the felicitations of his father. The happy nows was immediately cabled to tlitt; ship owner’s homo at Lanvic, Norway.
