DRINKING AT DANCES
The Morrinsvillc branch of the women’s division of the Farmers’ Union wrote to the Pinko County Council urging that, in view of the amount of liquor taken to public halls where dances were held, that all public halls should be licensed. The County Council was asked to take steps to compel all hall committees in the county to have their halls licensed. The secretary of the Paeroa branch of the Women’s Division of the union wrote that it was in sympathy with the request. Mr. W. F. Btark moved that the council write stating it was in sympathy with the division in its objects. I The motion was carried.
