THE OLYMPIC GAMES

NO BOYCOTT OF JEWS GERMAN ASSURANCES (Received Nov. 22, 3 p.m.) BERLIN, Nov. 21. In reply to the American Amateur Athletic Union’s decision that no Americans would compete at the Olympic Games if Jews were banned, it is officially emphasised that the Government and athletic authorities alike already have declared that every sportsman, whether or not a Jew, going to the Olympiad, would be welcomed, and nobody would be boycotted. Moreover, the German delegation to tho Olympic Congress had promised that the Olympic regulations would be scrupulously followed, and Jews would not be barred from the German teams, whereupon the Americans agreed to the venue in Berlin.
