CENTRAL SCHOOL WORK -1: grant to wairoa R.C. (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Included in the estimates presented to the, House last evening are the following items of particular interest to the Gisborne district: — The Wairoa Racing Club is granted £Bl3 remission of stamp revenue, owing to losses it sustained through the two earthquakes. The Justice Department has a vote of £354 as a compassionate allowance to the widow of the late Mr. P. H. Harper, Stipendiary Magistrate at Gisborne. The Education Department votes include £IBOO for alterations to the Gisborne Central School to diminish earthquake danger.
