LIVERPOOL, N.S.W., Oct. 24. A cow owiiod I>V Mr. $. Hopping, a , dairyman, of Ityde, showed remark-, able' intelligence ' and motherly in-, ' stinct during the week. Tt had been turned out on Mr. Hopping’s property 1 at Liverpool for about a-month, and ' in the meantime calved. Last week, it, was taken back to Ityde by motor ’ truck, while the calf was Jeft behind., 1 Within a couple of days it disappear- j , ed from the dairy, and the* loss 1 was . advertised by the owner, who later j i received word from Liverpool that, , the cow was outside his property. In , o rdor to reach its destination the cow , iSW um the Parramatta River and i travelled almost direct to Liverpool in less than 3(3 hours. !
