PRICES GENERALLY FIRM BRISK SALE OF LAMBS (For Prosa Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. There was a good yarding of wellfinished stock at the Westfield stock sale, and values generally were firm at late rajes. Extra choice ox sold to 20s per IUU lbs., choice and prime ox His to iSs', secondary and plain 14s to ISs, prime young cow and heifer beef 18s to 20s, ordinary cow beef 13s to His. Extra heavy prime steers made £8 "to £8 7s (id, heavy prime steers £7 10s to £7 17s tkl, lighter prime steers 15s to £7 7s (id, small and unfinished isteefs £4 12s (id to £5 IDs; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £5 5k to £5 ins; heavy prime cows and heifers* £4 32s 6d to' £5; lighter prime’cows and heifers £3 15s to £4 10s; other tillable cows £2 10s to £3 10s. ’ : An average yarding of calves’ was offered, thy bulk comprising light vctilcrs and small calves. The demand was not very keen, and last week's values* were barely maintained. Medium runners made £2 to £3 Is; medium vealers £2 Os to 215 s; light verniers £1 15s to £2 4s; small vealers £1 to £1 11s; rough vealer.S 10k to 21s; bobby calves 4s to Bs. An average yarding of .sheep came forward. There was a steady demand, values remaining firm at late quotations. Heavy prime wethers, shorn, made 23s to 20s, unshorn 20s to 30s (hi; medium, shorn 2ls to 235, unshorn 2-is to 20s 3d; unfinished wethers, shorn 15s to 18s 0(1, unshorn 21 s to 22s <id; heavy prime young ewes, shorn 13s (id to Ids 3d, unshorn ESs to 21s (Id; lighter prime ewes, unshorn 10s (id to 15s; hoggets, shorn 15s to 19s (id, unshorn 17s to 25s od. Lambs came forward in large numbers, and met with a brisk sale. There was little ! or no alteration in prices, which ranged from l'ss 9d to 255. There was an increased offering of pigs. Bidding was very steady for porkers, and these realised late rates. Baconcrs were hardly in such keen request. Porkers made 29s to 40s; baconcrs 40s to 05s; good stores 26s to 30s; slips 20s to 225; weaneis 12s lo 18s. 1
