TOKOMARU BAY CLUB SHOOT AT TATAPOtntI (Herald Correspondent.) The Tokomaru Bay Gun Club conducted a shoot at Tatapouri at the weekend, when 15 guns took part. G. H. Dunne, entering for the first time at the sport, shot very well to participate in the stakes in three out of four matches. Scores: — No. 1, 7-Bird Handicap. —A. R. Churches (14yds), G. H. Papworth (i7vds), H. Newton (16yds), F. Leggett (11yds), and W. Oates (17yds) shot the, possible and divided the stakes. Wilkins, Smyth and Res Oates broke six birds. ’ | No. 2, 10-Bird Handicap.—F. Smyth' (17yds) shot the possible for first money. I Papworth (18yds), Newton (17yds), and E. A. Page (17yds) each broke nine birds, and divided second and third money. L. Parker (15yds), Churches (15yds), and W. Oates (18yds), broke eight birds. . No. 3, 15-Bird Handicap.—Rex Oates (16yds), Papworth (18yds), G. H. Dunne (13yds) and lv. Cameron (12yds) each broke 14 birds and divided the stakes. S. G. Glennie (17yds) and W. Oates (18yds) broke 13 birds and F. Smyth (18vds) broke 12. No. 4, 6-Pair Doubles Handicap.— G. H. Papworth (15yds) broke 11 birds for first money. W. Oates (15yds) broke 10 for second money. S. G. ' Glennie '(lsyds), Rex Oates (15yds), and £. A. Page (16yds) divided third prize with nine birds. No. 5, 8-Bird Handicap-.—K. Cameron (14yds), F. Smyth (18yds), G. H. Dunne (15yds), G. H. Papworth (19yds) and Rex Oates (17yds) each shot the possible and divided the stakes. Glennie, P. Clark (16yds), Leggatt, Churches and W. Oates each broke seven birds. No; 6, Gimcrack; 7-Bird Handicap.— 0. H. Dunne (16vds), E. A. Page (17yds), and B. McKenzie (11yds) shot the possible and divided the stakes. K. Cameron (15yds) broke six birds. Rain prevented further competitions. There is some prospect of holding a two-day meeting about February, when several matches big enough to interest shooters from other North Island clubs are contemplated.
