NEW AUTOGIROS
REMARKABLE TESTS (Received November 1, 3-45 p.m.) LONDON, Oct- 31. The Daily Herald says that a new Cierva autogiro passed remarkable testa at Hanworth aerodrome. The top speed is now actually higher than with fixed wing aeroplane's of the same horsepower. Tile a.ufcogiro not only reached 120 miles an hour at Hanworth, but hung absolutely stationary for several seconds. It left the ground with a run less than 10 yards. When the Air Ministry approves the machine production will start on a. commercial basis. The new autogiros should be ready in April.
