BANDITS CAPTURED
STE. ANNE DES PLAINE, Quebec. August 24. A posse of citizens pursued and captured two bandits who an hour before had held up the manager of the Banone Provinciate and robbed the bank of £SOO after forcing him at tire point of a gun to remove his trousers. The two men entered the bank while Mr. R. Devoid, the manager, was eating his lunch. They forced him to take oil his trousers and open the safe. Removing £3OO in cash from the strongbox they hit Mr. Levoie over the head, tied him up in the basement and escaped. Pursuers surrounded the fleeing men. The £3OO was recovered.
