The announcement that Post Oilice investment certificates, which were withdrawn from sale on February 28, consequent on the then impending legislation affecting interest rates on Government and local body securities, will again be available for purchase by the public on and after October 2. was made by the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister of Finance on Saturday. Tiie Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, left Wellington on Friday evening to make the first visit to his home at Cheviot, Canterbury, since his return from overseas. A function in his , honor was held there on Saturday evening. Mr. Forbes returns to Christchurch this afternoon to address a meeting conveued by tjie economics committee of tho Canterbury Chamber of Commerce this evening. He will catch the ferry steamer on his return to Wellington to-nidftow evening,
